I returned yesterday from a wonderful holiday in Uganda with sister Pat. My friend Jean Hayes very kindly agreed to care for Paul's spot while I was away. Jean and I visited this morning and the flowers look beautiful in the sunshine. I am so grateful to her for her help. Pat and I chose Uganda to track the magnificent endangered mountain gorillas which was an amazing experience and the memories will stay with me forever. We also tracked chimpanzees, yet another unforgettable experience and saw many more animals and birds on a river safari cruise and game drives. Paul always looked forward to hearing about my travels around the world. Like me, he had a great love and respect for animals and I thought of him often during my holiday, knowing how much he would have enjoyed such a fantastic experience. Daughter Tracey and family looked after puppy Monty for me and apart from digging holes in their garden, he behaved reasonably well!
