I have been to Paul's spot with fresh flowers this afternoon. My friend Jean gave pretty sweet williams and as the European Football Championship is now underway, I made Paul a St George's flag posy with red and white carnations to commemorate the occasion. England are due to play their first match against France tomorrow. Hopefully, when I next change the posy I will still be making an England flag, unlike the World Cup two years ago when I had to quite quickly change it for a Spanish flag, after which Spain went on to become Champions. Before coming home, Monty enjoyed a run in Pickers Ditch Nature Reserve where Paul spent many happy hours playing as a boy.
