Due to family circumstances, 3½ months old cockapoo (cocker spaniel x poodle) puppy Monty has come to live with Grandma. I walked him to Paul's spot this morning to take fresh flowers. Despite the gale force winds and rain of the past week, the three plants left by friends for Paul at Christmas are fine as were the two festive tributes which I removed today. Jean has taken the two conifers home to protect them from the winter frosts and will return them in the spring. Paul would love ♥Monty. He often tried to persuade me to get a dog after I retired and although I always intended to have one eventually, I was worried that it might be difficult with my globetrotting lifestyle!!! Paul didn't see this as a problem, saying that he would dogsit whenever needed. With a snap decision needing to be made at Christmas I decided to "take the plunge" and Monty has settled in well. I can't imagine life without him now, he is gorgeous. Family and friends have offered to help with dogsitting so hopefully there will not be too many problems.
