My friend Jean Dale called round this morning with a pretty pot plant for Paul's spot. She came with me to take fresh flowers and a Christmas garland. Friend Jean Hayes has given a lovely golden minature rose pot plant and Paul's Auntie Pat and Ray have left a bright Christmas wreath. A poinsettia was also left by someone but unfortunately it had been spoilt by the frost and harsh weather so I will replace it with a more hardy plant. This afternoon I received a "Christmas Memories of a Special Friend" card for Paul from Clair and Tshequa with a beautiful verse and message which I will take to Paul's spot next time I visit. I have added their message to his tribute "Thoughts" link. As always Christmas is a difficult time, when Paul's family are all together and he is not here with us. But he will be in our hearts and thoughts as always.
CHRISTMAS MEMORIES of a Special Friendā„
To lose someone you care for hurts so very much inside
But when you lose a Special Friend the pain is hard to hide
The world seems grey and dismal, nothing seems to dull the pain
Only time and memories will help me smile again
So Christmas is the perfect time to think of you and say
Dear friend you were the very best in every single way
They say the truest friends of all are very hard to find
That's why I feel so fortunate to know that you were mine
