Today is Paul's birthday and I have just got home from taking flowers and a card to his spot. It is raining and I am soaking wet. I just know what Paul would say if he could have seen me, "Mum, you're mad!!!". I also left a beautiful bronzed statuette of a labrador, a memento of his "best friend" Toro who also watches over him on his memorial stone. My friend Jean has planted pots with crocuses and my friend Jean Dale and her daughter Joanne have left a pot of daffodils and primulas. Other friends have also left candles, a pretty butterfly ornament and flowers which I have put into vases. Whilst I was there, an old friend of Paul's arrived with flowers, having travelled down from London to remember Paul's birthday. Thanks to everyone who brought flowers to Paul, his spot looks beautiful. I'm sure many of his friends will be thinking of him today.
