Fresh flowers are beginning to suffer from the autumnal weather. My friend Jean called in on Paul's spot this morning on her way to my house and removed the flowers that had been spoilt by the recent heavy rainfall. During the winter months I place silk flowers in Paul's posy pot to ensure that his memorial stone always has flowers in severe weather conditions. I had already bought pretty orange silk roses in readiness, so have taken them to Paul's spot this afternoon and removed his two vases until I can return with fresh flowers, as nothing can replace the beauty of 'real' flowers. Paul's black labrador statuette Toro is back watching over him.
